- The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs maintains a non-juried slide registry that contains images (slides and CDs) and information about California visual artists. The Registry is an important resource for artists, curators, gallery owners, art consultants, developers, librarians, college and university professors, film studios and artists.

- Registration is open to all living California visual artists working in all media.
- Is there a membership fee for the Registry?
- There is a yearly membership fee of $20, which is renewable on February 1st of each year. A renewal postcard is sent out to each member in October of the current year.
- What are the benefits of membership?
- Curatorial referral service
Artists are selected for various exhibitions either as Registry group exhibition or selected individual artists for larger thematic group exhibitions at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.
Annual membership in the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates, which entitles the artists and a guest to free admission to all Municipal Art Gallery exhibitions, previews as well as discounts for special events.
Members receive frequent information regarding artist opportunities such as juried, public art proposals, and other exhibition opportunities. - Who uses the DCA Slide Registry?
- The Registry is available free of charge to museum or gallery directors and curators, art consultants, developers, librarians, college and university professors, set designers, corporate art collectors or anyone who wants to research artists in the state for possible exhibition, purchase or public art opportunities.
- What do I need to do to join the Registry?

- Send in application with appropriate materials and a check for $20 Payable to the City of Los Angeles

5 MB or smaller

- As an artist, exposure is the key in getting exhibitions, commissions and opportunities for your career as an artist. The DCA Registry allows curators and others interested the visual arts to see a wide variety of works under one location. Through our contacts and resources the DCA Registry connects artists with opportunities thus increasing your exposure and expanding your potential.
- How often should I update my images and resume?
- Members of the Registry are encouraged to update their images and resume on a yearly basis.
